A car is a giant mirror that sees everything
Shooting a car is a tricky endeavor. Cars are metal and reflective, and thus reflect everything around them. Literally, everything. Back when Davo would shoot OEM photos for the Big Three, you might spot something in the reflection that turned out to be a clock on a wall at the extreme back of the studio. One of our advantages is our awareness of the reflectivity of cars and the care we take to make sure that photos are clear of inadvertent reflections. One of the areas where we are super careful is the surface of the dome itself. It takes a lot of work to get that surface smooth and defect free. We are early in that process here – waiting for final plaster and paint. But you can see we smooth the heck out of these surfaces first.
